Hon. Odamtten Commissions 10th ICT Lab Project, Marks Major Milestone in Digital Inclusion Drive.

The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Ashai Odamtten, today, Monday, 8th December 2025, commissioned a fully equipped, state-of-the-art computer laboratory at the Manhean TMA 1 & 2 Junior High School. This landmark facility marks the 10th computer laboratory established under his visionary ASHAI ICT AGENDA, significantly advancing digital literacy within the constituency.

Today’s commissioning represents a crucial step in the MP’s commitment to bridging the digital divide. The ASHAI ICT AGENDA is a strategic, long-term vision designed to equip the youth of Tema East with essential digital skills, enhance their access to modern technology, and thoroughly prepare them to seize opportunities in an increasingly digital global economy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Odamtten emphasized the non-partisan, transformative power of education and technology.
“The commissioning of this lab, the 10th of it's kind in the constituency, is not just about installing computers; it is about installing hope, opportunity, and competitive advantage in our children,” he stated. “We are building a foundation where a child in Manhean can code an application, a student in Tema New Town can design a website, and every learner in our constituency can confidently navigate the digital world. This is the future we are actively constructing, one lab at a time,” the MP emphasized.

The event was graced by key stakeholders stalwarts in education. They were the Tema Metropolitan Director of Education, Mrs Bernice Ofori, the Head of Supervision and Monitoring, GES Tema Metro, Mrs. Christie Ablakwa, the Constituency Inspector of Schools (CISO) Mrs. Betty Ohene Obeng and the Headmaster of Manhean TMA JHS, Mr. Bernard Nimo.

The newly commissioned lab is equipped with modern computers, uninterrupted power supply, internet connectivity, and educational software. It will serve hundreds of students at Manhean TMA JHS and the surrounding community, providing a vital resource for both curricular and extracurricular digital learning.

With this 10th laboratory now operational, the ASHAI ICT AGENDA has directly impacted hundreds of students across the Tema East Constituency, reaffirming Hon. Ashai Odamtten’s position as a Parliamentarian deeply committed to sustainable development through education and technological empowerment.
