Two suspected armed robbers have been lynched after allegedly robbing and killing an Okada rider at Awutu Mampong in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
The suspects are said to have hired the services of a 19-year-old Kofi Mensah, a rider, but shot him midway through the journey before fleeing with his motorbike, mobile phone, and an unspecified amount of money. They tied his hands with a rope before escaping.
The agitated youth who discovered Mensah’s body shortly after the attack, launched a search in the area, apprehended the suspects, and subjected them to severe beatings that led to their deaths.
All three bodies have been conveyed by the Agona Swedru Police to the Police Hospital.
Was instant justice the answer? Why do these robbers continue to kill without fear knowing they could also be killed in a jiffy in their unholy enterprise?
