A major fire outbreak occurred on Wednesday night at Abelemkpe in Accra, destroying several wooden structures.
According to the Fire Service, three fire tenders were dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
This incident comes just hours after another fire ravaged a warehouse at Laterbiokorshie, also in Accra.
“The fire has now been brought under control. Overhaul operations are ongoing to completely douse the remaining hotspots within the affected warehouse.
We commend all firefighters and partner agencies for their tireless efforts,” the Fire Service stated.
