The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), in partnership with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), has demonstrated the proper installation of reflective stickers on tricycles (Aboboyaa and Pragya), as well as the correct use of reflective jackets and protective helmets by riders.
The initiative forms part of efforts to promote road safety, improve visibility, and ensure that tricycle operators comply with the required safety standards.
Tricycle riders and owners have been urged to take the necessary steps to meet the Assembly’s end-of-August compliance deadline and avoid possible sanctions.
